About this event 

Sponsored by The Scottish Informatics & Computer Science Alliance (SICSA) and the EPSRC Network EMERGENCE (Tackling Frailty: Facilitating the Emergence of Healthcare Robots from Labs into Service) and hosted by the CARE Group from the National Robotarium at Heriot-Watt University, the Robotics + Care Mashup will return in October 2023 to bring together students, academics, end-users, care providers and technologists to develop solutions that could help people live more independent lives.

The event will feature talks, hands-on workshops and tutorials for technologists and care providers, with leading experts in healthcare, assistive technology and robotics - all centred around a 5-day long hackathon. A number of the sessions will also be available online for anyone unable to attend in person

The organisers are calling for innovators, healthcare experts, students, researchers and anyone interested in taking part in our mashup, and also companies interested in contributing useful technology.

Attendance at all sessions is free. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided for those attending in person.

Registration is available via Eventbrite for the week-long hackathon, for specific days or for access to all online content. If you are attending for the full week you do not need to register for each individual day as well.
